The race
The Dead Sea Ultra Marathon aims to promote athleticism, particularly among youth and to encourage tourism to Jordan; and to promote athletic cooperation across countries of the Middle East and the world.
Held annually in April, the Dead Sea 50km ultramarathon route is one of the lowest on earth, at 418 meters below sea level.
The finishing line for all categories is at Amman Beach where participants can cool down and enjoy a swim in the Dead Sea.
