Did anyone run the 10k with a GPS watch? I made the distance 11km??? Markers were off by 0.5km from about 5k and my watch showed 10k at their 9k marker? Just curious to know if anyone else had the same or if my watch is screwed!
Yes, I finished at 10.72km. And I was always out by 500m on my watch.
Hydration arrangement was very bad as there was insufficient drinking water provided after the 6km, 8km and finishing point for the 10km run. Coconut water was too sweet and did not quench the thirst of the runners.
Same here my application show 10.7km at the finish line.
I ran the half marathon but took a wrong turn after about 5 or 6 miles. I went on the 10k course by turning right instead of staying straight. I guessed my mistake after about 200 meters and corrected myself. Surely there should have been a steward at that point or at least a sign displayed. That was the only issue. Otherwise it was an absolutely top class event. Rank with anything back in Europe. Well done to the organisers.
