First held in 2010, the IRONMAN 70.3 Taiwan has become a premier event. After having six IRONMAN 70.3 Taiwan events at the fantastic location in Kenting, the event is moving to the East Coast of Taiwan for the first time. Visitors are able to enjoy the laid back atmosphere, warm tropical weather and local's hospitality at this lovely eastern Taiwan county. The scenic region of Taitung is a vacation delight for tourists and visitors alike, encompassing a forest park, crystal clear Flowing Lake and breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean. Taitung is also the third largest county in Taiwan and home to seven aboriginals ethnics.

There are also 40 qualifying slots to the 2016 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast, Australia.
