The Waiau Pa 5000 Fun Run at Clarks Beach in Franklin District is an annual 5 km fun run and walk organised by the local netball club as a fundraising venture.

This small and family friendly 5km course takes the participants around the streets of Clarks Beach, and has a trophy presentation at the completion of the event, including a teams trophy for four or more runners, with the top four times combined for the total score. There will be great spot prizes along with sausages and drinks for sale.
