The Great Cranleigh Kauri Run is a 32 km, 23 km and 10 km trail run or walk which takes place on the stunningly beautiful Coromandel Peninsula.
200 years ago most of the Coromandel peninsula was covered in Kauri Forest. Today very few of these majestic giants of the forest remain.
A kauri tree will be planted along the trail for each person that participates in the event and the vision is to plant 10,000 trees over the next ten years and to create an avenue of Kauri all the way from Waikawau to Coromandel.
