Running among picturesque scenery,gum trees, pine plantations, beautiful ferns on a course with a mixture of constructed walking track, 90% single trail and the rest on fire trails. Lakes, dams, waterfalls, a spring bridge and relics of gold mining days are spread along the course.
Animals like brumbies, wombats, kangaroos, black cockatoos and much more can be encountered during the run.
Distances of 100 mile, 100 km, 50 km and a beautiful 22 km is a great variety for runners of all abilities. The highest parts of the course vary between 1400 mtrs and 1200 mtrs
Great volunteers on the 13 check points, drop bags at 5 check points to make runners more comfortable. Support crew access at 3 check points. Medals and certificates for all finishers, buckles for the 100 mile finishers, trophies for place getters plus other prizes and vouchers.
