I first picked up running as a form of exercise for a healthy lifestyle but soon found myself being slowly influenced by my father to enter the area of long-distance running. We would have runs together, just for some bonding time or some fresh air. Eventually, I started chasing after challenges through races, to test my limits and the extent of my training. After my first race, I was hooked. There was a constant desire to best myself to achieve new PBs and my father's support took me further deeper into long-distance races.
My father would often blog about his running adventures on JustRunLah under the nickname "SY", which inspired me to start blogging about running.
