East Coast Park |
East Coast Park is one of Singapore’s most appreciated urban getaways, offering memorable diversity of sporting, dining and recreational activities. Known as “Recreation for All”, the park has an activity for everyone. East Coast Park is a great place for a breezy long run in Singapore. It is shaded enough for daytime runs, and well-lit enough for night runs. You can start basically anywhere and run out and back in either direction.
For runners, we recommend either carpark B1 or Parkland Green carpark as these locations provide shower facilities after your run. Both the Big Splash and Parkland green are locations where eating and drinking options are available after the run. Likewise, these locations are usually accessible if you need a taxi for the trip back home.
Alternatively, you can start at the East Coast Seafood Center or the East Coast Lagoon Food Village at the other end of the park. You can easily extend the distance beyond the National Sailing Centre.
East Coast Park has held numerous running events such as Newton Challenge 2014, SingTel & Singapore Cancer Society Race Against Cancer 2014 and Terry Fox Run 2015.
