Listed as the “New Seven Wonders of Nature”, Jeju Island has dozens of attractions — from natural wonders to thematic museums — to make your trip there even more fruitful. While Jeju Island is commonly known for its beautiful natural sceneries, it is also very famous for its sweet mandarin oranges.
The race, hosted by Halla Ilbo and the Jeju Mandarin Association, was held to promote the mandarin industry and encourage healthy living. It is organised in conjunction with the Seogwipo International Citrus Pre-Expo, which showcases the finest mandarin oranges in Jeju of the year.
The course follows the Namwoniljudo-ro (1132), an avenue banked by endless acres of citrus farms with fruits ripening in the crisp November air. Runners can expect beautiful Autumn sceneries along the route in the cool weather.
Race finishers will get a T-shirt, a medal and snacks. A special freebie for foreigners participating in this run is a 5kg box of mandarin oranges.
