Adidas 4DFWD Launches In New Colorway To Celebrate Summer Of Sporting Competition

Singapore, July 2^nd, 2021: Today, adidas Running introduces a new colorway for adidas 4DFWD, the data-driven running shoe that takes 3D printed performance running technology to the next level. The bold new solar red and white colorway is the latest update to the silhouette following its limited release in May.

With the celebration of all sports, all teams, and all athletes at its core, the new colorway mirrors the renewed significance of sports as athletes are united on the international stage once again, with the 4DFWD set to be the main podium shoe for athletes this summer.

The integration of solar red is a nod to adidas‘ longstanding heritage of launching its pinnacle technologies for elite sports competitions in this bold colorway; uniting athletes of today with sporting legends of the past.

adidas 4DFWD combines years of athlete data with Carbon’s Digital Light Synthesis^TM technology to produce precision-tuned 3D printed midsoles.

Identified from one of five million possible lattice structures and made of 39% bio-based material, the bowtie-shaped FWD CELL has been specifically coded to compress forward upon vertical impact. When compared to previous generations of 4D midsole, adidas 4DFWD generates three times as much forward motion under vertical loading in mechanical testing conditions.
