Bloomberg Square Mile Relay will Run This City on 3 December 2015
The iconic Bloomberg Square Mile Relay - #WeRunThisCity - has been rescheduled to take place on Thursday, 3 December this year at The Promontory at Marina Bay, following its postponement in October due to the persistent high PSI index reading.
More than 1,500 corporate runners, including teams from Aviva, Barclays Bank, Citi, Economic Development Board, HSBC and last year’s winner Macquarie Bank, are registered for the race this year. A few team places are still available, visit the website to enter - www.squaremilerelay.com/singapore.
The Bloomberg Square Mile Relay is the ultimate corporate race where teams of 10 compete in a relay not only for pride and bragging rights, but also for a S$10,000 cheque to the charity of their choice. Spanning across Asia, the race will take place in Shanghai on 15 October and in Hong Kong on 5 November.
The race is proudly sponsored by global headline sponsor, Bloomberg; platinum sponsor, OUE Limited; and fitness race partner, Pure Fitness. The participating corporate teams will race through the iconic buildings of Singapore’s Central Business District and against the backdrop of Marina Bay, before making their final sprint back to the starting line at The Promontory for the post-race party.
Committed to giving back to the local community, the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay continues to help fund a running programme for SportCares Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Singapore Sports Council. Over the last two years, the programme has provided training and mentorship opportunities for children and young adults with the aim to discover and inspire a new generation of sporting talent through running. Sporting talent from the programme have also embarked on professional training with the Singapore Sports School.
