More about this event
Bukit Cinta Ultra (BCU) returns for the 3rd time this year, to challenge runners to their limits by running the ultramarathon distance around the Bukit Cinta loop of 4.9km located within the hallowed grounds of the nation’s oldest and foremost university.
The event will start and finish at Kolam Renang Pusat Sukan, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur; unless announced otherwise by the organisers. This is the same venue for the inaugural BCU hweld in 2015. There will be one checkpoint only to record the number of loops. Participants must go through the timing mat once to be considered as completing the loop. There will be food and drinks provided throughout the course of the event, served at the start/finish location. Solid food will start to be served at 2.00am on 10 December 2017.
Participants will have to complete a minimum of 10 loops within the cut-off time (12 hours) to be entitled to the finisher’s medal, finisher’s t-shirt, and meal. The winner is the one who completed the most number of loops within the cut-off time. One male and one female winner will be announced.
BCU is a ‘candidate race’ in the Malaysian Ultra League (MUL) Championship. Each participant will receive points according to their achievement, and this will be added to their total points in the league as they participate in other MUL-certified ultramarathon events. Three (3) complimentary slots for each male and female category will be reserved for the top runners in MUL. Terms and conditions apply.
Participants entitlement include a personalised bib with timing chip, finisher medal, finisher t-shirt, goodie bag, and refreshments. Keep updated on the event by liking our facebook page at Bukit Cinta Ultra
