More about this event
TOWARDS ZERO WASTE
How far will you go for Zero Waste at this year’s Income Eco Run?
After a three-year hiatus, Income Eco Run is back! This time, you get to choose the distance you want to run in support of a Zero Waste lifestyle in Singapore.
Choose from 3km to a half marathon (21.1km) and run at your own pace with family and friends, young or old. With Income donating $1 to the Singapore Environment Council for every kilometre that participants clock, there’s no better reason to join the cause!
In support of the Singapore Green Plan 2030, Income Eco Run will have its run t-shirts, which are made of recycled materials, optional for participants and offer reusable cups for hydration. Participants will also receive e-certificates in recognition of their participation.
WHAT’S DIFFERENT ABOUT THIS YEAR’S INCOME ECO RUN?
A one-of-a-kind concept in Singapore for a physical run.
We’re taking away race categories and instead, giving our participants flexibility to chart their own run, completing their run once they feel accomplished. They get to choose the distance that they want to run, up to a maximum of a half marathon (21.1km).
Our customised run route offers seven exit points that provide participants the flexibility to clock their distance-of-choice. Participants can choose to run and u-turn at either the 1.5km, 2.5km or 5km distance markers to complete their run of 3km, 5km and 10km back to the Income Eco Run village respectively.
For those who are gearing up for longer distances, they can either complete the full 21.1km run back at the event village or choose to end their run at the designated exit points located at either the 9km, 12km, 15km, 18km or 21km along the run route where they will have access to public transport. Our run route will be wheelchair friendly too.
Furthermore, Income will match a dollar for every 1km clocked during the run to the Singapore Environment Council (SEC) for the Zero Waste cause in support of the Singapore Green Plan 2030!
In our efforts to reduce waste and carbon footprint, participants will be given reusable cups that can be used during the event to keep them hydrated. An optional running t-shirt made of 100% recycled materials will also be made available for participants to purchase.
In recognition of their participation in the event, an e-certificate will also be given to participants.
