For the first time, The Philippine Association of Central Services and Sterilization Management (PACSSM) will be holding a Run, Walk, Dance and Zumba for a Cause Event. The event will be held on 27 November 2016, Sunday, 4:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the University Oval and AS Parking Lot, UP Diliman in Quezon City.
Part of the proceeds will be donated to World Vision, an international child-focused organization. The remaining will be used for various PACSSM activities, most notably skills trainings that aim to uphold the standards in instrument reprocessing, sterilization and infection control in healthcare settings. As much as 20 out of 100 hospitalized patients, including newborn, continue to be affected by healthcare acquired infections in low- and middle-income countries, the Philippines included.
