Organised by the NUS Students’ Sports Club, RunNUS aims to promote a healthy lifestyle. Besides being the largest and most eagerly anticipated annual event in NUS, it is also a charity event that helps raise funds for financially needy students through the NUS Annual Giving Campaign. We aim to raise funds for the financially needy students through partnership with NUS Annual Giving Campaign, and individuals are encouraged to support our fundraising efforts by making a gift directly to Annual Giving or by pledging a runner in our race. Net proceeds from the registration fees and individual pledges will go towards supporting the University-wide bursaries, and your support will be greatly appreciated. This year, RunNUS 2014 is also partnering with People’s Association to support promotion of importance of family and awareness of others in the community.

This is the 8th year since its inception and RunNUS has become an important event for NUS students, staff, alumni and the running community of Singapore. Not forgetting the element of fun, we are working towards bringing on a bigger and more exciting carnival on top of our signature run even as we strive to extend our reach to involve and include the larger community (our local community) such as the less privilege around us to give them a day of fun out in the sun! The carnival will be sure to offer a variety of on-stage entertainment including band performances, mini games, lucky draws and refreshments throughout the event, making it an exciting event with something for everyone!
For the race categories, we are offering 5km Fun Run and 10km Competitive categories, and a family challenge for families (where participants race to complete a set of tasks). Families are encouraged to complete the race together with a dress theme (ie. you can dress up your family members as pandas!) and you will stand a chance to win attractive prizes for the best dress theme! Even more, be ready to immerse yourself in endless fun and adrenaline rush from running to the games and activities, on-stage entertainments, and refreshments that await you at the carnival at the finishing line!
