Toraja Marathon 2018: Run the Heritage Track will be held on 28 April 2018 at Tana Toraja, Sulawesi Selatan. This event is organized with a view to promoting the well-preserved Torajan cultural uniqueness and miracles to date and the stunning beauty of Toraja highlands. With this promotion is expected to increase the number of tourist visits both local and foreign. This year, the event is projected to attract no less than 1500 runners from around the world.
Toraja Marathon 2018 is divided into 4 categories, namely in 5K, 10K, half marathon (23K) and full marathon (42K), combining a walking path with semi trail through the towns and villages of ancient Toraja. Along the route, people will entertain runners, and there will be music and cultural performances from each region along the path.
