Pacesetters was formed in 1984 after the 1st Kuala Lumpur International Marathon, with its main objective of promoting running as one of the healthy forms of exercise.
Initially, we concentrated on distance running, in particular the half marathon and marathon. Recently, we have started taking part in track races as well. This is because of the need, as we see it, to attract and groom the younger members from an early age on running, so that the country will have a pool of youngsters to select from to further train in middle distance track running.
The club is based in Kuala Lumpur, with KL / Klang Valley Area Groups in:
- Bukit Aman
- Taman Tasik Permaisuri
- Gasing Hill
- Subang Jaya
- Kiarra TTDI
- Puchong Kinrara
- Kuantan
- Sabak Bernam
- FRIM
- Penang
