What is a
virtual run?
A virtual run is a race that you can complete at your own pace and time.
Virtual running works exactly the same as any other type of running but the difference is that the entered race can be run at any location, either outside or inside on a treadmill.
All you have to do is register for a race and provide evidence that you have done it. The evidence can be a screenshot of your running app, a photo of the treadmill screen etc. Do check out specific instructions of the event you join for more information.
Virtual races are a great way to stay fit and active all year round, run for good causes and get awesome medals and other entitlements for your participation!

Everyone has a role to play in preventing suicide. Beyond creating conversations around mental well-being, we can take a more active role in showing support to our loved ones. Regardless of where we are from, small actions can show that you care, and they can make a difference.
The #HOWRU Virtual Walkathon signifies the start of that journey. Reaching out for help is not easy. As part of the community, we can be the ones to check in with those around us and connect with them. During September, which is Suicide Prevention Month, we urge you to take the time to strengthen the bonds with your loved ones in any way you can, be it through having a meal together or by having a walk together (in person or virtually, in accordance to the SOP guidelines).
The walk duration is one week, starting from 12 September 2021. You may choose to walk a total of 20,000, 50,000 or 100,000 steps. There is also an option to create a group and walk together with your loved ones.
Join us in this regional walkathon to pledge your support and commitment to the journey with the people around you. At these uncertain times, let us encourage one another that we will be on this journey together.
